Door Bookcases
Door bookcases are one of the most unique applications
of built-in bookcases. Typically, they are designed as doors masquerading as
bookcases--that is, what appears to be, and is, a functional
bookcase is also a functioning door. This usually involves
constructing the door bookcase in such a way that it pivots on a fulcrum, opening
like a door and revealing an area behind the door book
case. The craftsmanship involved in a door bookcase is
of an extremely high level. While Carmel Bookcases certainly possesses that
craftsmanship, because each door bookcase must be designed specifically in
place, Carmel Bookcases is unable to offer door bookcases.
