Ikea Billy Bookcases
Ikea is one of the larges
providers of bookcases and furniture in the world. And one of their most popular styles is a simple,
white Shaker- or Craftsman-type bookcase they call the billy bookcase. It
is typically very inexpensive and can be bought at nearly
any Ikea store, or online. Sometimes you can get the billy bookcase in white,
black or other colors, although the wood is typically a very in-
expensive particleboard or other manufactured wood . Carmel
Bookcases, however, focuses on providing the very best
wood and solid wood bookcases,
rather than Ikea billy bookcases.
The name billy for a bookcase is of uncertain origin,
but some say that it comes from Herman Melville's classic work, Moby Dick.
