Metal Bookcases
One of the nice things about custom bookcases is that
they can be made of many different materials. While solid
wood has been used for book cases for many years, and metal has been
also used where money was no object, it is
in the 20th century that metal manufacture became a cost effective method of
making bookshelves. Metal has many advantages, among them that it can
be made extremely strong. Carmel Bookcases, however,
focuses on providing the very best wood
and solid wood bookcases, rather than metal or metal-type bookshelves.
Metal can be dangerous for bookcases, as well; it is very
heavy, obviously, and therefore it is subject to creating injuries in a way
that some other materials are not.
