Pine Bookcases
Pine solid wood book cases are one of our most popular
choices. Pine is a traditional American wood for bookshelves; its clean,
"modern" look is also associated with Danish bookshelves, but
it can also create a rustic bookcase effect, depending
on the amount of knots in the pine and other wood characteristics. Staining
pine can be a challenge, so each bookshelf will differ from other
ones created by Carmel Bookcases. With our special
ability for the staining, though, it's possible. Pine can be one of the most
difficult woods to stain, and a professional and sure hand is required. We
have that ability; Carmel Bookcases has long experience with all kinds of
stains and woods, including pine bookcases.
Pine, unlike cherry bookcases, is a softwood; it is available
from Canada, the United States and several other northern countries, and
unlike some other bookshelf woods, it is not grown in the tropics.
