Wicker Bookcases
Wicker is an informal option for bookcases. It consists
of woven dried fibers, not unlike rattan bookcases. Almost always wicker creates
a casual look, although if you decorate and cover with
certain other items as part of your bookcase scheme,
it can create a retro, "colonial" look for your book cases. Rattan
is different from wicker in that it is a hollow, and not a solid, fiber. Wicker
fibers frequently come from one of the many areas of the
world with distinct furniture, Indonesia.
Carmel Bookcases does not produce wicker bookcases; we
content ourselves by creating the best products in "traditional" solid
woods used for library bookcases, such as cherry,
oak and mahogany, for bookshelves.
